Message from the Town Supervisor Dr. Barry A. Weinstein:
|
The Town of Amherst strives to be a model energy and environmental conservation community. I feel strongly that it is important to protect and preserve the resources of our community for future generations. Under my leadership, the Town is committing to meet the requirements set out by the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement, which the Town is a signatory. Amherst is actively managing the municipal consumption of energy resources and related costs to taxpayers. Our "Renew Amherst" initiative will also help the Amherst community to better understand ways to lower energy consumption and to lower related household and business expenses. |
